Darryl: The Experiment

So I'm posting another Darryl video because he's not my favorite character, but there are times when he really cracks me up.
In my opinion Mark comes up with the most 'in depth' characters. Apparently he really liked getting into the mind of the characters, but he hated costume fittings. He would tell them what the character needed but he hated the whole costume practice. Dave on the other hand says that near the end he would just walk in and ask the costume ladies to come up with an outfit for his character.

Mr. Heavyfoot Puts On His Pants

Dave was walking around pretending to be a guy with really heavy feet, and someone said, 'That should be a character.' and so, Mr. Heavyfoot was born. I adore this character. He's so sweet and you can't help but pity him, but he keeps going. Good man.

Creative Possibilities

I love this sketch! I did a remix of Yellow Submarine with this sketch... so you know it's wonderful! :)

Enjoy this, it has some great lines and Kevin does the best 'Kevin' voice in this.

I've corrected this post. I had the wrong clip with the post... which is weird.
Sorry!

Painting With Your Inner Child

Oh Darryl... there is SO much wrong with him. If you saw the Kids in the Hall sketch they did live where Kathie and Cathy meet up after years and talk about Meth, Daryl was the waiter. For some reason I find that really amusing.

Exhibition Shirling

Another fun one that is very... odd and wonderful!

The snakes, the screaming... what's not to love?

Tammy

Well, I completely forgot to post yesterday! So, I'm doing two today that go together.

In other news, we're getting closer to Dave Foley being on Stargate Atlantis, which is exciting, and if you are on the live journal group kidsinthehall you'll have seen that he was given a ticket for jaywalking. Poor Dave.

Here's Tammy... lots of Tammy.

I think the worst thing about Kids in the Hall is that they look better in a dress than I do. *glares*

My Trip to the Farm

Well, I'm flying home to Lexington, Kentucky today.

So as I take my trip, let's fallow Mark on his! The music for this is perfect, and the editing...

Any of you Linkin Park fans? I just got done with an interview with him.... NICE GUY!~

Strange Guy But I Like 'Em

I'm using the YouTube title for this one cause I'm away from home, and I have no idea what the title is... so if you know... Comment!

I don't know how Dave does that face! It's crazy! And Jenkins is in the 'I Am Animal' sketch... a fantastic newt. I love seeing returning extras in this show.

What?

Oh Scott.

This is a great one, very simple, very odd, very funny! Something the Kids in the Hall do well.
This is one where Bruce cracks me up! The quick movements, the walking back and fourth. I love it.

She's Gone

I'm in Las Vegas, editing interviews from the Blogworld Expo! So far it's been very busy, and so my post is a bit later than I like for it to be, BUT, it's here now!

I don't really have a comment that would add anything to this sketch... I just wonder why they didn't use one of the guys for the woman. Maybe the other guys didn't like it.

The world may never know.

Time Flies

Well, it's post 101. As you read this I'll be flying over your heads, (if you live somewhere between Lexington and Atlanta, or Atlanta and Las Vegas) watching a random film on my way to a conference for work.

So I tried to find a sketch that had some mention of travel...
This is a great one. One I really could watch time and again.

The Bass Player

Guess what... today is the 100th post!

That's right, so far there have been 100 Kids in the Hall posts, and it doesn't look like we'll be running out of clips any time soon!

So in honor of this day, I'm going to post a sketch staring my favorite Kid, Kevin, with a special guest spot by Bruce, the blog reader's favorite Kid in the Hall!

So thank you for the comments, and the poll votes! Keep checking Kids In The Hall Clip of the Day for more clips and KITH bits.

Yes Dear

Poor Mark. You can't help but feel bad for him in this sketch. But I don't know what's worse... his sad face or Kevin's voice for the bird. :)

Yes Dear

Today we have a BONUS clip. The Kids In The Hall recently got a star on the Canadian walk of fame. After KD Lang, Scott talks to the nervous interviewer, and has Paul Bellini drifting behind him. There are also shots of the other guys at the event, though I didn't see Bruce. If you see him let me know, and I'll put his name in the tags. Is it just me or does KD Lang look like she's going to eat that little guy?

Try It Now

Well... my car broke down this weekend, and I'll need a new engine, or a new car. Is there an option C?

So today I'm posting a car clip, because I really wish I had a kid in the engine... Ha. I don't know if this is Danny or not...

Wait to hear the dog sound... that's the best part.

No Chocolate Diet

Dave is pretty unfortunate looking in this sketch, BUT there's a kitty that walks into shot one minute in. Awww, a kitty!

"Where the hell am I?"

The King of Empty Promises

This was Kevin's favorite character to play. I like that it's the opposite of what Dave and Kevin usually play.

There are two clips in this one! So you can get all the Dean you can handle.

Also, Kevin says this character is based off of him. I hope he's just talking about being forgetful about returning things.

Is He?

I can't find my favorite Secretaries sketch to wrap up this week, but I did find my second favorite!

It's cute.

The Day They Switched To Decaf

I LOVE this sketch. I'm a bit of a coffee addict myself, and I can't say my reaction would be different than Cathy's.

I really like Elizabeth, the female boss character that Dave plays. She's my favorite of the secretaries because she always tries to get out of hugs or personal moments.
Tayna gets the short end in this one. She's the first to really commit to her 'quit' threat, and yet she's mocked. But that's the way of the office. Any office. :)

Sex With The Dry-Cleaner

Some of you may know that Kathie dated Mississippi Gary. I believe that was the first sketch for both of the characters, but apart from the picture of Gary on the wall at her desk Kathie never talks about him.

After watching this sketch I'm afraid that Kathie can only sleep with men that are played by Mark. :) Should Tanya watch out?

This clip has another Secretaries sketch attached. The Pig Nose one... I can't say I'm a fan of this one, but it's interesting that Dave isn't playing the boss here.

Scandalous Weekend

Well, it's another FINE Tuesday. Hope you all survived the beginning of the week.

I know I should post this one on Friday, but I have a different sketch in mind for then, so the 'weekend' sketch is on a Tuesday. Big deal.

There are a few things I really enjoy about this sketch. The first is the fact that Scott seems to like black men which has carried over into the Cathy character. Also, the dancing is fantastic!

Secretaries

The first time we see the Secretaries, Kathie and Cathy! I love these ladies.

Scott and Bruce said on one of the commentaries that they don't have chemistry together unless at least one of them is wearing a dress. Apparently they are too much man together, but Fran and Gordon are a great example of how well they can play off each other, and so is this!

So, this week will be Secretaries week! Because really... who doesn't like Kathie and Cathy?

A Jury of Ex-Girlfriends

This weekend will feature two scenes from the court room!

First... Bruce is being charged with being an asshole!
I think it's interesting that Bruce just went as Bruce for this sketch. No character name, just him.

But First... The Whores! and The Trial

I'm going to do a nice transition from the Office to the Court Room using these two clips.

So first, the office...
But First... The Whores!

and then the court room!
That's an unfortunate outfit on Mark, and I loved the butch character that Scott plays. His name is Brad...

Hotel la Rut, and Surprise!

Well, today's the day!

My favorite sketch the Kids in the Hall have ever done!
But it has a set up... Hotel La Rut!

Things that I love about this sketch.
-It has Danny Husk
-Dave's face when Mark pushes him out the door
-Kevin's voice, is the best part
-The end. The sweet, amazing, end.

I've never laughed as hard as when I first saw this sketch. Such joy.

Surprise!

ENJOY!

Disturbing Mail

Ah, another dumb business man... but this one has one guy who knows what's going on.
Bruce plays the dorky yes man well. That laugh is crazy. Remember, tomorrow I'm going to post my favorite sketch of all time.

Billy Dreamer

Well the first Billy Dreamer sketch takes place in the office, and it has the second sketch attached so enjoy the complete collection of Billy Dreamer.

I love the mustache change on Mark. Ahaha! And the fact that when Billy daydreams it's not that great. Nothing too grand.

Office Fire

I've decided to continue from Monday with 'Office' week, so each sketch will take place in the office. The Kids in the Hall were not a fans of business men and so they are generally shown as being stupid. Very stupid.

I'm sure most of these office clips will be from an AT&Love sketch. Poor stupid, AT&Love.

This week will wrap up with my favorite sketch they ever did.

But before that...

My Pen

I don't know about you guys but I am NOT looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. If only my day were as exciting to this...

And there's nothing I like more than a bloody pen in my ear, and hanging onto a speeding vehicle without using my hands.
